Huasun Selected for Exemplary Practices of Chinese Corporate Carbon Neutrality at COP30, Highlighting How HJT Technology Powers a Greener China

2025/11/18

On November 10, the China Pavilion series of side events at the 30th UN Climate Change Conference (COP30) kicked off in Belém, Brazil, with its first session focusing on ecological civilization and the practice of building a Beautiful China.

At this important global forum, Huasun Energy was selected for Exemplary Practices of Chinese Corporate Carbon Neutrality at COP30, for its innovative 200 MW HJT photovoltaic project in Bayannur, Inner Mongolia. This publication showcases outstanding cases from Chinese enterprises in technological innovation, green development, and sustainability. It marks the first time a UN climate conference has systematically showcased the achievements of Chinese enterprises in pursuing carbon neutrality. As one of the first 30 selected enterprises, Huasun demonstrates the progress and commitment of China's new energy industry in technological advancement and ecological civilization.

China's Role in the New Era of Global Climate Governance

COP30 marks the tenth anniversary of the Paris Agreement and is viewed as a pivotal moment for countries to submit strengthened Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). Hosting the conference in Belém at the ecological heart of the Amazon Basin, underscores the worlds shared commitment to planetary protection. At this critical stage, the China Pavilion not only reflects Chinas confidence in climate governance but also provides the world with clearer insight into its unique path toward green modernization.

The Pavilion's first session highlighted Chinas progress in building a modernization path that fosters harmony between humanity and nature. This approach is driven by technological innovation, enabled by industrial upgrading, and grounded in enterprise action. Huasuns selected project offers a vivid example of this pathway in practice.

Technology-Driven Pathway to a Greener Future

Huasuns 200 MW Xinhua Forest Farm Desertification Control and Photovoltaic Integration Project in Bayannur, Inner Mongolia, is part of Chinas first batch of large-scale wind and solar power bases. Its innovative model integrates PV power generation with desertification control, effectively combining clean energy development with ecological restoration.

The project is equipped with Huasun's proprietary Himalaya G12 series high-efficiency HJT modules, which deliver a mass-production power output exceeding 730W, feature a high bifaciality of 95%, and maintain strong performance under high temperatures, ensuring reliable energy generation even in harsh desert environments.

To withstand sand abrasion, extreme temperature fluctuations, and other demanding conditions, Huasun has adopted a dual-glass bifacial design with a steel frame to improve resistance to sand erosion and enhance long-term durability. Once operational, the project is expected to generate 323,000 MWh of electricity annually, replace about 256,000 tons of standard coal, and reduce COemissions by more than 700,000 tons each year. It is establishing a benchmark for integrating ecological management with clean energy.

The project delivers three key benefits: generating power and revenue, stabilizing sand and increasing vegetation, and creating agricultural income. This transformative model is turning the sandy lands of Bayannur into a benchmark for the synergy between green energy development and ecological revitalization.

A Chinese Solution Gaining Global Recognition

Huasun's presence at the China Pavilion during COP30 underscores how Chinese new energy companies are turning the countrys carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals into tangible practice. As a leader in heterojunction technology, Huasun continues to expand the application of high-efficiency PV solutions through sustained R&D investment and global collaboration, contributing Chinese expertise and innovation to the global energy transition.

From the deserts of Inner Mongolia to the rainforests of the Amazon, from ecological restoration to clean energy transformation, Huasun is using technology to help shape a shared green future. Looking ahead, Huasun will continue advancing HJT innovation and working with global partners to accelerate progress toward a net-zero world.
