On March 24, a significant strategic partnership officially launched in Shanghai. Anhui Huasun Energy Co., Ltd. joined forces with China Railway Shanghai Group, Zheshang Development Group (ZSDG) Guangying New Energy, and TBEA Group. The parties signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) to establish a high-level consortium aimed at deeply collaborating on the expansion of the Southeast Asian photovoltaic (PV) market. The first collaborative project—a 400MW centralized grid-connected PV power plant in Laos—marks a solid step forward for the leading forces of China’s Heterojunction (HJT) new energy industry chain as they go global as a unified team.

I. A "Golden Combination" of Industry Leaders
This partnership creates a "Golden Combination" for overseas market expansion, forming a complete closed-loop ecosystem covering project investment, high-efficiency products, professional equipment, supply chain security, and engineering execution. China Railway Shanghai Group brings extensive experience in international engineering management, technical implementation, and local resource integration, ensuring efficient project fulfillment. Zheshang Development (ZSDG) provides robust resource and financial support through its strengths in global PV procurement, supply chain finance, logistics, and customs clearance. TBEA leverages global expertise in power equipment manufacturing and new energy system solutions to support project execution and technical innovation. Huasun Energy, as the global leader in HJT technology, focuses on the R&D and production of ultra-high-efficiency HJT cells and modules, providing world-class PV products and solutions. By sharing resources and conducting joint site surveys, the partners will leverage their respective core strengths to achieve mutual benefits in the Southeast Asian market.

II. Flagship Project: A Green Energy Hub for the Region
The consortium’s inaugural project—the Laos Centralized Grid-Connected PV Power Plant—boasts significant scale and strategic location. The project has a total construction scale of 400MW and is located on the north bank of the Mekong River, bordering Laos and Thailand. The clean electricity generated will be integrated into the Laos national grid and, according to cross-border power purchase agreements between Laos and Thailand, will be transmitted directly to the Thai grid to effectively alleviate Thailand’s power demand and promote regional green energy connectivity. This project is set to become a regional benchmark and is scheduled to commence construction in the third quarter of 2026.
III. Deepening "Belt and Road" Cooperation
This collaboration is a proactive response to the Belt and Road Initiative, representing a successful practice of China’s HJT industry chain going global in synergy. By integrating "Top-tier Engineering + Powerful Supply Chain + Professional Equipment + High-efficiency Technology," the consortium not only secures the success of this specific project but also paves the way for future developments in utility-scale, commercial, and industrial (C&I) solar and energy storage projects across Southeast Asia.
Huasun will continue to provide solid support for all consortium projects with its world-leading HJT technology. We firmly believe that deep synergy with top partners will turn the Laos project into a model for regional green energy, contributing Chinese wisdom and strength to the global energy transition.
