Beijing, China - September 17, 2026 - the 20th China International New Energy Forum, hosted by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce New Energy Chamber of Commerce, was held in Beijing under the theme of “Expanding Green Energy Application, Innovating Intelligent Manufacturing Scenarios”. Centering on core topics including new energy consumption, industrial globalization and cutting-edge technological innovation, the forum gathered industry practitioners to discuss industrial challenges and development directions. Dr. Xu Xiaohua, Chairman of Huasun Energy, was invited to the forum and shared the company’s insights on sustainable industrial development, technological innovation and global market expansion.

Addressing cyclical volatility in the sector, Dr. Xu noted that the core of long-term corporate growth lies in adapting to the times to define clear positioning and achieve sound and sustainable operation. Amid accelerated technological transformation, AI is driving iteration across the entire industrial chain. Huasun has integrated AI tools into internal R&D workflows, shifting its research paradigm from trial-and-error to predictive analysis to support technological breakthroughs. He also stated that as the photovoltaic industry advances toward energy equity, the sector should collectively address the long-term issue of computing power inclusiveness.
Building on its accumulated heterojunction (HJT) technology, the company is actively exploring multiple frontier areas. Space photovoltaics represents a key emerging direction for Huasun’s HJT technology. The team has been advancing P-HJT flexible ultra-thin cells. The 50‑60μm ultra-thin products feature outstanding bendability, with mass production yield improved from 10% to 90%, and cell efficiency matching that of conventional N-HJT products. Supported by breakthroughs in China’s reusable rocket technology, space photovoltaics is presented with new development opportunities, and Huasun has completed relevant technical reserves.
In addition, leveraging its manufacturing advantages in heterojunction flat-panel coating, Huasun has carried out R&D on glass-based TGV samples for next-generation high-density interconnection substrates. These samples will be unveiled at the 2026 World Manufacturing Convention.

On the globalization of the PV industry, Dr. Xu commented that evolving global market access rules have created new challenges for traditional overseas expansion models. Local manufacturing has gradually become a critical threshold for overseas markets, and competition for overseas projects has shifted from upfront equipment investment to full-lifecycle operating costs. With inherent strengths including a secure patent landscape, streamlined processes, low energy consumption and low carbon emissions, heterojunction technology is well-suited for factory construction and operation in high-cost overseas regions, making it an important technological pathway for PV enterprises’ second wave of global expansion. Meanwhile, enterprises going global must uphold independent and controllable technologies, manage technological generation gaps, and gradually transition from product export to technology and brand export.
Moving forward, Huasun Energy will continue to deepen its research in heterojunction and perovskite-heterojunction tandem technologies, collaborate with partners across the industry, and contribute to the high-quality development of global clean energy.
